Beaverbrook has announced the return of Tibetan Bön teacher Geshe YongDong Losar for a second consecutive year, following the success of his inaugural residency at the Surrey estate in 2025.
The four-day residency, taking place from 11 to 14 September, will see Geshe YongDong Losar lead a three-night residential retreat focused on meditation, breathwork, chanting and spiritual reflection. The programme is designed for both returning participants and first-time guests seeking an immersive wellness experience.

Born in Ngawa County, Tibet, in 1969, Geshe YongDong Losar began his studies at Nangzhig Monastery, the largest Bön monastery in Tibet, at the age of 13. After 11 years of training, he earned the Geshe degree, an academic qualification comparable to a doctorate in theology. Following his departure from Tibet, he continued his studies in India under senior spiritual leaders, including His Holiness the Dalai Lama and His Holiness the 33rd Menri Trizin. He is now based in British Columbia, Canada, where he founded the Sherab Chamma Ling Center and teaches internationally.
The retreat will include three daily teaching sessions across Saturday and Sunday, combining guided meditation, traditional chanting, discussions on managing stress and cultivating inner peace, and breathwork practices. Guests will also have access to sound healing sessions, spa facilities, and time to explore Beaverbrook’s estate or enjoy periods of quiet reflection. The programme concludes with a closing morning session and breakfast on Monday before departure.
Jorge De Jesus, Group General Manager at Beaverbrook, said the estate was “delighted” to welcome Geshe YongDong Losar back following the positive response to last year’s residency. He added that the teacher’s return would once again bring an opportunity for guests to experience authentic Himalayan spiritual traditions in Surrey.
The retreat includes three nights’ accommodation, daily à la carte breakfast, a welcome drink, complimentary minibar, use of The Coach House Spa, and access to Beaverbrook’s padel, tennis and pickleball courts.
Prices start from £2,950 for single occupancy. Further information and booking details are available through Beaverbrook’s reservations team online.
