The Alpina Gstaad will reopen for the 2026 summer season on 12 June, unveiling a programme of international culinary collaborations designed to bring globally recognised dining experiences to the Swiss Alps.
The luxury hotel has announced a series of limited-run residencies featuring chefs and restaurants from Europe and India. The initiative aims to offer guests a diverse range of cuisines within a single destination, combining fine dining with Gstaad’s alpine setting.
The first residency, running from 12 to 28 June, will see Restaurant Monti host The Johri Jaipur, an award-winning boutique hotel from Rajasthan. Its culinary team will take over the kitchen to present a contemporary interpretation of Indian cuisine, drawing on traditional techniques and regional flavours.
The experience is intended to highlight both cultural storytelling and modern gastronomy, with dinner service available daily and lunch offered from Friday to Sunday.
From 18 to 31 July, Harry’s Bar, part of The Birley Clubs in London, will stage its first summer residency at the hotel. Known for Northern Italian cuisine, the restaurant will serve a selection of its established dishes in an outdoor alpine setting.
The format will include family-style lunches and evening dining, aiming to replicate the relaxed yet refined atmosphere associated with the Mayfair venue.
Later in the season, from 27 July to 24 August, the hotel’s Lounge & Terrace will host Naples-based pizzeria Concettina ai Tre Santi. The residency will focus on freshly prepared Neapolitan pizza, made on-site and served in an open-air environment. The concept combines traditional methods with contemporary variations, offering guests a more informal dining option alongside the hotel’s fine dining programme.
The Alpina Gstaad’s summer schedule reflects a broader trend among luxury hotels to collaborate with international culinary brands. By rotating guest chefs and concepts, the hotel aims to attract both returning visitors and new audiences seeking varied gastronomic experiences within a single stay.
