August creates private collections of beautifully designed homes in Europe’s most cherished places — each one fully cared for, and shared among a small circle of families. Its latest is the Prime Collection: four rare homes, in the South of France, Tuscany, the French Alps and Mallorca.
Ask anyone who loves Europe where they’d choose to live, and the answer is rarely a single place. It’s a season in Provence, an autumn in Tuscany, the first snow in the Alps, a Mediterranean island once the summer crowds have gone. For generations, having all of it meant buying a house abroad — and taking on everything that comes with keeping one an ocean away.

August was founded to make the pleasure possible without the burden. It curates private collections of beautifully designed homes in Europe’s most cherished places. You own a share in a collection — and with it, all four homes, not just one. This is true ownership, and every home is sourced, restored, furnished and looked after entirely by August. You arrive; everything else is taken care of. Most families spend eight to twelve weeks a year across their homes.
The Prime Collection
Prime is the fullest expression of the idea, and the newest: a private collection of four homes sourced off-market in the South of France, Tuscany, the French Alps and Mallorca, shared by just sixteen families. Each welcomes up to ten guests, with generous rooms for gathering, wellness facilities, and private grounds set into the landscape around them. Instead of one house abroad, a family has four — and all of Europe between them.

The collection opens with the first of its four homes: a villa above Mougins, in the hills behind Cannes. Five bedrooms across 3,200 square feet, two of them master suites, a fitness room, an outdoor kitchen, a saltwater pool, a pétanque court and covered terraces made for long lunches. Restored in limestone, handmade ceramics and French rattan, its interiors feel inseparable from Provence. Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is twenty-five minutes away.
The three homes to follow are chosen in the same spirit. A traditional villa in the vineyards of Chianti, with its own wine cellar. A contemporary chalet in Megève, for every season in the Alps. And a secluded finca above Cas Concos in Mallorca, with sunset views across the valley.
‘These are homes a family returns to for generations,’ says Mélie Dunod, co-founder and CEO of August. ‘Beautifully designed, rooted in their surroundings, and made to become part of a family’s story.’
The Grand Pied à Terre collections offer elegant apartments in the heart of the great cities — London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona and Cannes
Prime is the newest of several August collections, each suited to a different way of spending time in Europe. The Grand Pied à Terre collections offer elegant apartments in the heart of the great cities — London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona and Cannes — while the Premium and Signature collections are set in the countryside, closer to the landscape. Whichever a family chooses, the principle holds: a beautiful home, fully looked after, ready the moment you arrive.
All the pleasures of a home in Europe, and none of the responsibilities that usually come with one — an arrival at a home made ready for you.
