British fitted furniture company Neatsmith has unveiled a new upholstered bed design, marking the latest addition to its bespoke bedroom furniture offering.
The new Neatsmith Bed combines Art Deco-inspired styling with integrated storage, reflecting growing consumer demand for multifunctional bedroom furniture that balances aesthetics with practicality. The launch represents a natural expansion for the company, which has specialised in bespoke wardrobes and fitted furniture for more than two decades.
Designed with curved contours and upholstered finishes, the bed features a statement headboard with sweeping lines intended to create a focal point within the bedroom. Solid wooden feet with a chiselled profile add a contrasting detail to the otherwise soft silhouette. According to the company, the design aims to suit both contemporary and more traditional interiors.
Alongside its visual appeal, the bed incorporates a concealed lift-up storage compartment beneath the mattress, offering up to 600 litres of hidden storage space. The integrated compartment is designed to accommodate bedding, clothing and other household items while helping to reduce visible clutter in the bedroom.

The Neatsmith Bed is available in King and SuperKing sizes, with customers able to choose from a range of fabrics and colourways to personalise the final design. Prices start from £4,208.40.
Philipp Nagel, director of Neatsmith, said the company had identified changing attitudes towards bedroom spaces in recent years, with homeowners increasingly viewing bedrooms as places for relaxation as well as sleep.
He said the company’s experience in designing bespoke storage solutions made the move into bed design a logical progression. Nagel added that the project focused equally on craftsmanship, comfort and functionality, with hidden storage playing a central role in the final concept.
The launch comes amid continued interest in premium home furnishings and space-saving interiors, particularly in urban homes where maximising storage remains a priority for consumers. Upholstered beds with integrated storage have become increasingly popular within the UK interiors market as homeowners seek furniture that combines practicality with a more tailored, luxury appearance.
