GuilFest – previously awarded the UK’s Best Family Festival, drew to a close Sunday evening after another success. It seemed evidently busy as the crowds came out in their thousands to Stoke Park, Guildford for a weekend of live music and family entertainment.
On Saturday’ Sophie Ellis-Bextor headlined the main stage while on Sunday The Proclaimers finished the show. Despite a slight delay coming on Haircut 100 were a clear hit while other highlights on the second stage (the G Live stage) included a brilliant, ground-shaking set from Letz Zep. Also over the two days the crowds enjoyed a Rudimental DJ Set, ABC, Kula Shaker, Kid and Creole & The Coconuts.. and many more.
A hit-packed phenomenal set by the immaculate Bootleg Beatles closed the weekend on the G Live stage.
Easy to see why it had won such acclaim with a family audience with attractions such as the Kidzone, circus acts, fire shows, fairground rides, the Backyard Bug Experience, board games and a wellbeing area.
A huge choice of cuisine was offered through numerous and varied global street food stalls too.
So glad to see GuilFest back in its rightful place as a regular in the summer music festival calendar. Well organised, well respected and clearly well attended. Credit to the team – and we look forward to announcements about the 2027 dates and line-up. Go to their website to get on their email list for updates regarding next year’s event.
