Park Hyatt London River Thames has announced a special Lunar New Year dining experience at its Cantonese restaurant, Yú Gé, alongside a themed accommodation package to mark the Year of the Horse. The offering will be available from 4 February to 1 March 2026.
The seasonal menu at Yú Gé draws on traditional Cantonese cuisine and Lunar New Year symbolism, with a focus on dishes associated with prosperity, reunion and celebration. Central to the programme is a Chinese New Year Set Menu, priced at £268 per person for a minimum of four guests. The menu features a range of classic dishes prepared using premium ingredients, including roast chicken with ginger oil, steamed lobster with garlic and vermicelli, stir-fried turbot with asparagus, and braised abalone with oysters and fat choy, an ingredient traditionally linked with good fortune.
Also available during the period is Yú Gé’s Royal Twelve-Treasure Poon Choi, priced at £588 and offered by pre-order with 48 hours’ notice. Poon choi is a communal dish traditionally served during festive occasions. At Yú Gé, it is presented in a large pot with layered ingredients, including Australian green-lip abalone, crystal prawns, oysters and roasted meats on the upper tiers, with vegetables, bean curd and pork beneath, designed to absorb the broth’s flavours.
Desserts include ginger niangao and glutinous rice dumplings served in sweet fermented rice soup. Drinks options range from curated Saicho osmanthus and Champagne pairings to Chinese leaf teas, international and Chinese wines, premium baijiu, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages incorporating Chinese ingredients.
