Michelin-starred chef Adam Handling MBE has launched Ahrelia Caviar, a new premium caviar brand aimed at making one of the world’s most exclusive food products more accessible to consumers.
The new venture introduces a range of unpasteurised caviar varieties, including Royal Baerii, Oscietra, Imperial, Imperial Gold, Beluga and Kaluga caviar, alongside trout roe. According to the company, each variety has been selected for its individual flavour profile, texture and quality.
Ahrelia Caviar enters the market with a focus on what it describes as “accessible luxury”, seeking to offer premium products at competitive prices while maintaining high production standards. The brand’s range is presented in specially designed tins and is accompanied by a selection of accessories, including caviar keys, mother-of-pearl spoons and blinis, all available for purchase online.
Handling, whose restaurant portfolio has earned widespread recognition within the hospitality industry, said the launch was inspired by a desire to make caviar more widely available.
The company said its sturgeon species are matured for extended periods to achieve the desired quality and flavour characteristics. Baerii sturgeon are matured for a minimum of six years, while Kaluga and Beluga sturgeon can take between 15 and 20 years to reach maturity, depending on the variety.
Handling, whose restaurant portfolio has earned widespread recognition within the hospitality industry, said the launch was inspired by a desire to make caviar more widely available.
“Caviar is one of my favourite things in the world but for far too long it’s come with a price tag that makes you think twice before you even pick up the spoon,” he said.
“We’ve created a new range of caviar which is the best I’ve ever tasted and is available at a price that is fair and makes it way more accessible. Caviar should be enjoyed in generous portions, not used sparingly because you’re terrified of the cost. That’s what Ahrelia is all about.”
The launch reflects growing interest in premium food products among a broader customer base, with brands increasingly seeking to balance luxury positioning with greater accessibility.
Ahrelia said its aim is to challenge traditional perceptions of caviar as a product reserved primarily for high-net-worth consumers and encourage wider appreciation of the ingredient.
Orders are available online, with a minimum lead time of 48 hours for deliveries made between Monday and Friday. Delivery charges apply, subject to product selection and location.
