The Petworth Park Antiques & Fine Art Fair returns for its 11th edition from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 May 2025. Set in the grounds of the National Trust’s Petworth House & Park in West Sussex, the annual event brings together around 60 leading antiques and fine art dealers from across the UK and Europe.
Hosted in a purpose-built marquee, the fair showcases a wide array of disciplines including fine paintings, sculpture, antique furniture, vintage jewellery, clocks, silver, ceramics, glass, and decorative objects. Exhibitors range from returning favourites to first-time participants such as Camburn Fine Art (France), Billy Rae (Aberdeen), and Glass of All Ages (Hertfordshire).
Highlights include rare Chinese art and antiques such as early 19th-century wallpaper panels and lacquer screens from Chalet White, and a Han dynasty gilt bronze incense burner from W. Shanshan. British art is well represented, with works by Mary Fedden, Edward Seago and a lead maquette by Jacob Epstein on display at Petworth gallery Ottocento.
Collectors can also explore Japanese Meiji period pieces, mid-century and period furniture, and a broad range of jewellery including a £18,950 sapphire and diamond ring from S. Greenstein & Co. Timewise Vintage Watches returns with timepieces including a 1960s gold Rolex and a 1950s Lemania pilot’s watch.
The fair also features specialist garden antiques, bronze animal sculptures, and ceramics from artists such as Tom Rooth, who presents celestial-inspired ceramic panels. Decorative Delftware, Clarice Cliff pottery, and Art Deco pieces are available alongside historical furniture from William Cook and Reindeer Antiques.
Notable paintings include an oil of Notre-Dame by Antoine Blanchard and theatrical works by Alan Halliday, exhibited for the first time by Camburn Fine Art. Art & Horse Racing Gallery and the Hunt Gallery add equestrian themes to the mix.
Tickets cost £10 via Eventbrite and include re-admission and a programme. On-site parking is free, and a courtesy bus links the fair with Petworth town centre. Refreshments are available throughout the event.
