The Affordable Art Fair will return to Battersea Park from 12-16 March 2025, marking one of London’s first major art events of the year. Featuring over 110 contemporary galleries from 18 countries, the fair will showcase thousands of artworks, with prices starting at £100, making art accessible to all budgets.
This year, 10 galleries will exhibit for the first time, alongside 182 debuting artists. Curated displays will help visitors navigate their collector journeys, including ‘Finds Under £500’ and ‘Finds Under £1000’, as well as a new ‘Little Visions, Big Imaginations’ section featuring artworks for children’s bedrooms.
London-based artist Margaux Carpentier will present ‘Mother’, a large-scale installation welcoming visitors at the entrance. Carpentier, known for her bold use of colour and symbolism, will also be the fair’s Artist of the Year.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, the fair will highlight female artists under the theme ‘Resilience in Bloom’, featuring works by Nicolle Menegaldo, Angles Grau, Anna Sudbina, Jeni Calvert, Dinh Thi Tham, and Aya Haidar. UK RMD Jennifer Conner emphasised the importance of showcasing female talent, noting that women still represent only 25% of the art market.
A key feature of the fair will be ‘STITCH: A Journey’, a collaborative stitching workshop led by Lebanese-British artist Aya Haidar, known for her work on migration, memory, and womanhood. Visitors can contribute personal stories through embroidery, with the final piece auctioned for charity partner Karmabank, which supports communities affected by war, disability, and gender-based injustice.
Evening visitors can enjoy Art After Dark Lates, featuring DJs, drinks, and workshops, while families can participate in creative activities at the Kids Creative Corner during the weekend.
The fair will also welcome 10 debut galleries, including Galerie Fahid Taghavi from Switzerland, Sailors Jail Gallery from Cornwall, and The Hyde Gallery, a female-led space championing women artists.
With a mix of established names and rising stars, the Affordable Art Fair Battersea Spring 2025 promises an engaging and accessible celebration of contemporary art.
