The first art gallery of leading art publisher, Buckingham Fine Art, has arrived – Soho Fine Art opens at Tunsgate Quarter. This is Guildford’s aspirational retail, leisure and dining destination located just off the High Street in the bustling Surrey town
Soho Fine Art opens at Tunsgate Quarter and gives shoppers the opportunity to browse original and limited edition artwork from some of the country’s most talented and collectable artists, spanning Fine art, Classic and Contemporary.
You can visit Soho Fine Art at Tunsgate Quarter, located off Guildford High Street, with entrances also on Tunsgate and Castle Street.
Featured artists include Shaun Othen, whose unique work has a focus on more aesthetic elements such as texture and line, yet maintains elements of realism and form amidst abstraction to create a style that is both unique and exceptionally beautiful.
Also Jessie Foakes who trained as a tattoo artist but recently transitioned her creativity from the medium of skin to that of canvas. In doing so, she reignited a passion for paint that she says has been dormant for some years and has dicovered an exciting new direction in which to channel her creative juices.
Jessie loves to experiment with colour and technique, and is constantly refining her approach; finding new ways in which to render well known characters with her unique fusion of style and texture.
Others include the iconic portraits by Paul Wright, the bright abstracts of Jean Picton, the urban, graffiti compositions of Sleek, the sculptures of Jane Shaw and many more besides.
From The Ivy to OKA; Aspirational shopping and dining
Tunsgate Quarter is already home to top lifestyle brands including The White Company, Nespresso, OKA and Loaf. Its covetable dining options, including The Ivy and latest addition Gail’s Bakery, makes Tunsgate Quarter a popular destination for Guildford’s visitors and locals alike. The Soho Fine Art gallery is situated in the central atrium of the beautiful art deco building, and houses a private viewing room as well as the curated gallery space at the front of the gallery.
Claire Suggitt, Centre Manager at Tunsgate Quarter said: “Soho Fine Art is a new and engaging addition to the centre, and we are delighted to be able to offer our customers such an amazing collection of artwork to browse and to buy.
