In a heartwarming holiday initiative, the TONI&GUY Charitable Foundation has announced its most inclusive and accessible Christmas event to date. The Mascolo family is opening the private grounds of their Surrey estate for the “Summerdown Light’s Switch On & Family Christmas Extravaganza,” providing families with a magical escape while supporting the foundation’s paediatric care efforts in their ward at King’s College Hospital.

Taking place on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM—with the light switch-on scheduled for 5:00 PM—the event offers an affordable experience for just £20 per family. The ticket price, set with accessibility in mind, makes it one of Surrey’s most budget-friendly holiday events, designed to provide festive joy amid the rising cost of living.

“We know many families are facing tough choices this Christmas,” says Pierre Mascolo, Chairman of the TONI&GUY Charitable Foundation. “By keeping tickets affordable, we’re ensuring every family can experience a memorable Christmas, while helping children who are facing serious health challenges in our hospital ward.”

The Mascolo estate will be transformed into a winter wonderland, featuring: a mini Christmas village; Festive treats, including mulled wine, hot chocolate, and seasonal sweets; Visits with Father Christmas; A charity raffle with prizes from local businesses and Entertainment for all ages

All proceeds from the event will support the foundation’s dedicated 15-bed children’s ward at King’s College Hospital. The foundation has raised over £1 million to date, including £20,000 from last year’s Christmas fundraiser alone. Under the guidance of Pierre and Lilia Mascolo this year’s event aims to make an even larger impact, expanding efforts to assist disadvantaged children through multiple new initiatives.

“The magic of Christmas lies in bringing people together,” says Lilia Mascolo, Foundation Director. “By opening our family estate, we’re creating a space where families from all walks of life can share in the season’s joy and make a difference for children in need. That’s the true spirit of Christmas.”

Additional special private event for Hospice special guests

Additionally, on December 2nd, the foundation is thrilled to welcome children and guests from Shooting Stars Children’s Hospice to a special private event on the estate, bringing even more holiday magic to these very special young guests.
