The Knightsbridge hang-out, Sumosan Twiga which has been a favourite with foodies and A-Listers for fine dining and late-night dancing for over 25 years, has just been completely renovated and staged a grand reopening party earlier this week.
So the scene was set perfectly for two founder members of the female entrepreneur club, Luxury Collective Surrey, (Luna Williams and Jools McKeown) and both connoisseurs of taste, to don some sparkle and go along to be amongst the first to see the new look and sample some of the new menu.
Sumosan is a highly acclaimed contemporary Japanese restaurant founded in 1997 and has established itself as an exclusive venue which aims offer a unique blend of sophistication, culinary excellence, and vibrant nightlife.
The food is an elegant modernisation of traditional Japanese cuisine, combining high quality ingredients with bold, intense flavours. Dishes are authentic yet innovative, designed to be shared at the table.

Luna paints the picture; Two HR Owen Lamborghinis (Evo and Tecnica) flanked the entrance and certainly set the ambience for the evening as we were ushered to the top floor to sample the cocktails and food. The team welcomed guests with glasses of Ferrari Blanc de Blanc in the room which has been so tastefully, newly designed and decorated in shimmering distinctive tones of black and white with occasional accents of gold. The lighting matched the style perfectly too; subtle and suitably sophisticated featuring occasional illuminated tree features which served as interesting focal points.

And as much as the restaurant was beautiful, the food was incredible; a Japanese / Italian twist with sushi, tacos, sliders, and an impressive caviar station. Caviar bumps and bespoke cocktails followed. Overall a great vibe with good music and good food. It was easy to forget it was a Tuesday night!
Certainly can’t wait to come back.
