L’ortolan, the Michelin-Star restaurant in the village of Shinfield, welcomes Reading’s great and good for their largest and last celebration of the year at the L’ortolan Christmas Gala on Saturday 21st December.

Head Chef Tom Clarke, who celebrates yet another year of retaining the restaurant’s Michelin star in 2019, has created a sumptuous seven-course tasting menu.

In addition, head sommelier Lucian Obreja has devised a carefully selected wine flight to match each course.

Guests will begin with champagne on arrival, followed by a winter feast including dishes like goose liver parfait served with caramelised pear and pecan; and roast loin of venison with braised red cabbage and bitter chocolate jus.

Plus L’ortolan apparently has ‘a little extra surprise’ for diners on the night to help spread the festive cheer still further!
